Yeremiahu Hillel was born in Rishon Lezion. He studied at the public school (“Habiv”) in the settlement and continued his studies in Beirut, but due to the outbreak of the First World War he was forced to return to Israel without finishing his studies.
He worked as a laborer in a winery and later – a farmer on his parents’ farm. In 1932, he left for Gedera where he was a Lapardesan and Koram.
To his credit, public activity: volunteer at “Maccabi”; volunteer at the school in Gedera; member of the board of directors of the “Loan and Savings” bank and Bank Leumi in Gedera; donated his money to various institutions.
Thanks to his volunteer activity , was honored every year with the lighting of the LJ Baumer bonfire in the center of the moshav. Rivka Hillel was born in Movatsa. She grew up and was educated in the Buharim neighborhood in Jerusalem.
