Topaz (Topi) Ibn Chen-Klein,聽late聽1982-2010
Haim Klein, Amit Klein’s father said:
“…my first memory is of a toffee from the pool lawns in Kfar Bil” And on Saturdays,
running on the grass, jumping on the playground equipment,
jumping into the water constantly, a lively, energetic girl,
bright and curious eyes, and of course the eternal smile…
Later I discovered a smart, sensitive, modest,
accomplished and very task-oriented woman, her landmarks and achievements testify to Thus…”聽
The Mayor of Rehovot, Mr. Rahamim Malol:
聽“This month is a month of blossoming and planting, and
here on Topaz’s birthday we commemorate the
cruel and unimaginable death that ended her life.
We at the municipality, in cooperation with the family and the Zilberminz company,
were looking for an appropriate way to commemorate her and we chose to do so
by connecting the person to the earth,
by establishing a memorial garden where children’s laughter will be heard,
symbolizing the continuation of life despite the great pain of the family”
In the ceremony itself, two songs were performed,
one written and performed by Adi, Topaz’s brother,
and the second by Amit Klein, her husband, and performed by the creator and composer
Eyal Mazig.
Zev Milner, CEO of the Y. Zilberminz company which was a partner
in the establishment of the Memorial Garden and which donated the statue
prepared by the artist Israel Primo,
He said in his words that
“in the special relationship created between the Zilberminz company and the families,
it was only natural that when we completed the project we would
commemorate Topaz in the public garden next to it,
Not far from the place where she grew up…” A
