Born in the city of Komarno in Poland,
he studied music at the Lviv Conservatory and played the violin.
Immigrated to Israel in 1933, as head of the “Zionist Youth Movement” in his town. In 1937, he enlisted in the British Mandate Police. From 1964 to 1974, he served as the commander of the Central Region of the Israel Police. Between the years 1974-1981, he served as a court judge

The urban in Rehovot. Led a public and legal fight to change the legislation

As far as retrials are concerned. He fought for a retrial for Amos Burns and led to his release from life imprisonment and his acquittal.

In his spare time he composed music.
