Last October we placed artistic elements that we designed and created for the “Globus Center” shopping complex in Netivot.
Different from sculptures and performances that we created and placed in squares across the country, in this complex, our goal was to create a moment from the everyday experience on the street and capture moments and images from random encounters with people on the street and empower them.
Not infrequently when we are passing through the street for errands and shopping, we meet with people who catch our attention, such as the man with the accordion on the street corner with the sounds of the canary music that accompanies him. The lady with the wide-brimmed hat with shopping bags, the boy running on the skateboard in front of you, or the mother with a baby carriage passing by.
In this project we wanted to stop the moment and freeze it and let the passers-by stop for a moment and create the dialogue, the merging and the connection between the visitors to the place and the performances placed on the sidewalks.
The six figures placed along the boulevard of the shopping complex are made of ironwork in volumes, 2.5 meters high
