Major Avraham (Avi) Maimon was born in Givatayim on the fourth day of the 3rd tribe, January 7, 1973 , and was educated there all his
life . Clai, in 1991 . My father was involved in sports all his life and excelled in it alongside his excellence in many academic subjects.  After his studies, he enlisted for service in the “Dokifat” cruiser. And during his service he became an officer and company commander in the unit. My father, loyal to the values ​​he grew up with, led his soldiers to excellence, values ​​and adherence to the mission. The day before his fall, my father rescued a force of soldiers that was trapped in enemy territory and for that he received special appreciation from the commanding general. On the 13th day of Tashri 5777, September 26, 1996, my father’s force was caught up in mass riots, violence and massive shooting. My father, the commander of the force, made sure that his soldiers took cover,

But he, who was last, was hit by an enemy bullet.
My father left parents, a brother and a sister and many loving friends.
