Due to an injury, he transferred to the border guard<br \/>\nand later, enlisted in the Israel Police.<br \/>\nIn 1962 he established the first police station in Gedera.<br \/>\nand was Gedera&#8217;s first policeman.<br \/>\nHe also served as a security guard for President Zalman Shazer in Jerusalem.<\/p>\n<p>Neuman was a policeman dedicated in his soul to his duty,<br \/>\nadmired and loved by the residents of Gedera and the surrounding area,<br \/>\na bridge and a listening ear to the community and a peace and security in the settlement.<br \/>\nHe advocated his teaching<br \/>\n&#8220;not to be dragged into crime &#8211; but to improve behavior&#8221;<br \/>\nwhen he reached 84 years of heroism his heart stopped beating.<br \/>\nBut the many stories in praise of him and his actions in life<br \/>\nare still being told&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A commemorative statue of the sculptor Israel Primo in the square in memory of Neumann the policeman.
